'Hashtag' SciFi Kickstarter

I can't believe I missed hearing about this SciFi short film for so long. I've been a Gigi Edgley fan ever since she played Chiana' on 'Farscape' and squealed with glee when I learned about it from a friend. And I REALLY wish I'd heard of it sooner since there is only 6 days left to their Kickstarter campaign.
'Hashtag' is directed by Ben Alpi (Cowboy Creed, Silver Lining) , and he co-wrote the story with Kevin Rubio (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ben 10, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, TROOPS). It probes a future where Social Media has gone far too far. The story is told in the classic SciFi format of the cerebral, short film. The film “follows “X”, the ultimate social media maven, a charismatic woman attracting the attention of tens of millions of online followers. "X" has attained everything she's ever wanted. She's #famous, she's #watched, and one unpopular move could mean the #end. “
Some of the other talent on the team includes Jyotika Virmani (Executive Producer of Cowboy Creed), Robert Alpi (Cowboy Creed), David Berry (Cowboy Creed, Judas Kiss, Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II), Meg Savage (The Skeptic), Joe Terrana (Cuban Sandwich Crisis, The Gita, Magadog), Jeff Handy and Erik Goodrich (Beyond Scared Straight, Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II), Ralph Miller (Star Trek: Renegades, Judas Kiss), and Deke Kincaid (The Chronicles of Riddick, The Water Horse, Pirates of the Caribbean series, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Deja Vu),
The film has so far raised $29,484 of the $40K needed for their Kickstarter campaign to succeed, but they only have 6 days now to raise that last $10K! So, I ask that you go check out their Kickstarter and see if you want to donate too. There are plenty of cool gifts for donations of just $5.00 and up so think about putting some of your Black Friday and Cyber Monday funds towards helping 'Hashtag' come to life.
