Indie Star Trek

There are many Indie/Fan Made Star Trek spin-offs out there.  Some are really great and some are piles of dren.  Highlighted here are some of the noteworthy works.  Just click a link to watch and/or visit their sites.  And there is even more Indie Trek on our Youtube Channel!!

Picking up the original 5 year mission where it left off, Star Trek Phase II have been producing episodes & vignettes since 2003. The stories are great and the production values are usually very good. To date they have several episodes and vignettes, and more is slated for future release.

This series also picks up where the original Star Trek left off. Star Trek Continues have been producing material since 2013. The word that best describes this series so far is "outstanding"!!

Directed by Tim Russ and staring a slew of previous Star Trek cast members, Star Trek: Of Gods and Men was released as an unofficial 40th Anniversary gift to Star Trek fans, It is a follow up story to the Original Star Trek episode Charlie x.  this film was released in 2008 by Renegade Studios originally as a 3 part mini-series.

Starship Farragut takes place during the original series timeline, following the voyages of the USS Farragut (a Sister Ship to the Enterprise).  They have multiple episodes and some vignettes.  The series premeired in 2005.

Hidden Frontier is an extensive project with several series, films, and audio series including: Hidden Frontier, Odyssey, and The Helena Chronicles.  They debuted in 2000 as a spin-off of Voyages of the USS Angeles

Starship Exeter takes place during the original series timeline, following the voyages of the USS Exeter (a Sister Ship to the Enterprise).  It is a solid production well worth watching.

This series follows brilliantly the style and presentation of the orginal annimated Star Trek series.  As with its live action counterpart, it follows the voyages of the USS Farragut.

Star Trek: Phoenix was released in 2010. Part 1 of the Pilot Episode Cloak and Dagger, is a real treat. The release of Part 2 has been an ongoing project of Temporal Studios.

 

Red Shirt Blues.  This TOS parody is just laugh-your-ass-off funny!! It was written, directed, and produced by David O. Rodgers and stars Jack P. Dempsey and Erik Hill. It was released in 2001.

Red Shirts: The Series  This TOS parody series is really funny and well produced. It's not for your kids though. It's pretty new to the scene, having debuted in 2013.
