Crowd funding has become such a powerful tool for independent science fiction film makers that we have been experiencing a real boon in new content. Of course, along with this comes some pretty high competition for our dollars. There are some projects that breeze through, like Star Trek Continues or Star Trek: Phase II, most still have to claw for our attention and funding, and sometimes get lost in the competition.

One independent Star Trek project that I very much want to see succeed, and not get left behind, is Star Trek Equinox: The Night of Time. Their website summarizes the project as:

“Star Trek Equinox: The Night of Time stars acting veteran John Savage, reprising his Star Trek Voyagerrole of Rudy Ransom, iconic actor Gary Lockwoodreprising the role of Gary Mitchell, from the classic Trek episode, “Where No Man Has Gone Before”, and introduces Blanca Blanco as Lt. Cmdr. T’Lexa. “

I was never the biggest Star Trek: Voyager fan but I really love the episode Equinox and am eager to see the Capt. Rudy Ransom character revisited. And who doesn't like the idea of seeing the Gary Mitchell character from the TOS episode Where No Man Has Gone Before revisited too?!! I'm also a big John Savage fan in general and seeing him in an Indie Trek film would just thrill me =D

So, to those of you who feel the same enthusiasm about this project, let me tell you how you can help.

Firstly, go check out their Website at: http://startrekequinox.com/?page_id=889

And don't forget the power of Social Media. Like, Follow, Share their posts. You can find Equinox on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/StarTrekEquinox

I hope you find this project as interesting as I do and give it your support and dollars =D
