Recently George Kayaian and Up All Night Productions released episode 5 of Star Trek: Antyllus. I had wanted to post a blog on this sooner but, as many of you know, our main computer was down for a while. But now we're back and here's my 2 cubits on the latest episode:

Now, it does have to be said that I know and like George Kayaian but that is because, as a fan of his work, I sought to meet him. That being said, feel free to turn on your bias meters now =D

George has always proven to be a good story teller. That holds true for “Contamination” as well. But before talking storyline though, I think a few other things deserve mention.

Firstly, the production value on this episode is some of the show's best. The props were also great and there were some nice sets. What I think was so masterfully done, however, was the soundtrack. It felt perfectly like a TOS episode from start to finish! It fells like ST: Antyllus upped their ante with episode, displaying a growth and maturity that, in my opinion, have proven so vital to other enduring Indie Trek shows.

...POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!

It was great to see the same cast appearing in this new adventure involving an alien fugitive, Easter Island, and a mutated form of leprosy. George is always good at putting cues for the viewers into his shows, so the Moai-headed ship appeared at the start, I knew I was in for an interesting story.

I found I was really sucked into the the scenes aboard the alien ship. The set, lighting, and TOS music gave those scenes a real flavor and believability that took my imagination aboard that ship.

Now, I don't want to give away the whole show here, of course, but I do want to give you an idea of the quality of story you'll get with Ep. 5. If it weren't for the affection I have for Ep. 1 this would be my favorite episode made to date. You'll find a link to the episode below =D I recommend clicking it =D

Well, that's it!! LLAP and I hope you enjoy ST: Antyllus as much as I do.
