Member Briefing #1

Well it certainly has been a busy few months for the club. We were established in Nov. 2013 and had been going along pretty casually until March this year. Then we started to pick up our game a bit and expand. Our YouTube Channel was announced in March and has been well received. In fact, we have come along far enough that we are very close to producing our own segments and interviews for the channel. We will also be setting up a system to accept content submissions from club members and others. This will be open to videos, audio stories, written material, comics, etc. This is something we are really looking forward to having in place!!

We even went through the unnecessarily convoluted Adsense process so that we can earn some money from ads on our Channel to help keep the club alive.

Beyond this, in general, we have been doing tons of paperwork/accounts for the club, setting up a proper foundation to build from. Those details are all boring so we wont list them =D Be assured that we are always working behind-the-screens work on many such boring, yet necessary projects, to build this club a strong foundation.

The recent release of this Website is a major victory for us =D There is certainly more work and building to be done, but the Website will prove invaluable in the long run. It is the Hub of all that we are doing. We are currently in the application process with Adsense to advertise on the website. We want to have a couple of more things in place before we proceed to the next step, so please be patient with those blank areas at the bottom of the Webpages…those are where the Adsense spots will appear if we are approved.

That should be enough for this first Mission Log. We don’t want to keep you from your SciFi =D So many stories…so little time!!
